7 April 2013: York, England

SUNDAY
Breakfast. Walk into the city.
York is prepared for tourists... haunted walk, sightseeing bus, arrows pointing you in the direction of attractions, etc...

Mom grabs a Starbucks. Cliffard's Tower... only remaining bit of the York Castle. The mound was originally created by William the Conqueror in 1068.
Keep Children Under Control. Looking down from the top of the tower. The main level of the tower has displays providing a history of a York castle.

Across the square we visit the York Castle Museum. Recreation of a middle class dining room from the Victorian Era.
Recreation of the Victorian street, Kirkgate... the unpleasant aroma of the street was also recreated.

Walk along part of the wall of the city.
The 2014 Tour de France will depart from Leeds in Yorkshire County. Arrive at the National Railway Museum.

Geese along the River Ouse. There are a lot of English litter bugs.
Dinner at Harper's. Mom and Dad had a mushroom and chicken potpie and I had a tomato soup. Mom also ordered garlic cheese bread.
