6 April 2013: Norwich to York via Colby and Cromer

SATURDAY
Buffet breakfast. Butter packaging reads... Caution: Contains Milk (I would be more worried if it didn't contain milk).
Following breakfast, we take a quick stroll around Norwich.
Expensively priced American products on display in a candy shop window. Norwich Market with over 190 stalls.
Collecting for a charity. We stop by the Colman's Mustard shop located in the arcade.
Elaborate chimneys. Pull's Ferry
River Wensum. Original arch of the Cathedral.
Filling up with "petrol" before driving north to Colby. Turn off A140 onto the road to Colby.
Arrive in Colby where my ancestor, James Allen (Allin), was born in 1614 and came to the US in 1637 with his uncle, Reverend John Allin. They originally settled in Dedham, Massachusetts.
St. Giles Church of Colby.
Continue north along the A140 and arrive in Cromer.
A small amusement park by the sea. Stop to have fish and chips for lunch.
Quick walk around Cromer.
Dad and Mom with the pier in the background. Leisureland Amusements for those who want to gamble by the sea.
Driving northwest to York from Cromer.
We stop at a service station: A gambling room. One Krispy Kreme doughnut left.
Turn off the A1 to York.
Driving into York.
Arrive at the Bed and Breakfast. The sun setting from my room.
Walk into the city center.
Have dinner at Bombay Spice. Walk back to the B&B.
