12 April 2013: Isle of Mull and Iona

FRIDAY
Wait in line to board the ferry.
Enjoying the view during the forty minute crossing from Oben to the Isle of Mull. Duart Castle.
Ferry arrives in Craignure. Follow the signs heading west to Fionnphort.

Buying tickets for the ferry from Neil MacCallum. The Royal Post is the only vehicle making the crossing to Iona with us.
After a ten-minute sailing we arrive in beautiful Iona.
Arrive in Iona.
Iona abbey.
The cloister. The church within the abby welcomes many pilgrims: A House of Prayer for all Nations: Please is a Bible in your own language.
Saint Columba. The cross represents where skeletons were found under the church.
With a view of the abbey and the sea we enjoy a picnic lunch.
Parish church. Please close this door to prevent birds being caught inside the Church. Thank you.

Back on the Isle of Mull. Turning off the "main" route to take the scenic route.
