29 July 2013: Rainy Day and Sunny Evening

MONDAY
A momentary break from the rain before the dark cloud began dumping buckets.
Water running down my "street." Video of the rain and a little boy running with an umbrella.
4:23pm, road with standing water. 7:00pm, road dry.
The skies opened up after a gloomy day.
Returned home via Henrietta Park.

28 July 2013: Weymouth and Portland in Dorset, England

SUNDAY
Boarded a train heading two hours south of Bath to Weymouth with two friends.
The countryside.
In Yeovil, there was a holdup and most of the passengers in a dinner train were on the platform. A butterfly flew on board during one of the stops.
Arrive in the beachside town of Weymouth.
With the temperature at 65°F (18°C), the beach was packed.
Beach chalets rent for 10 pounds a day.
Greenhill Gardens.
Beach huts. Doctor Who sand sculpture at Sandworld.
Ladmoor Nature Reserve.
Blue dragonfly. Tiles on a house.
Weymouth Marina.
Shops in town.
On the bus to Portland.
People covering a cricket pitch. The downpour stopped after riding the bus around the penisula.
The sailing during the London 2012 Olympics took place in Weymouth and Portland.
Path through a rock quarry. St. Georges Church.
Pony. Small snail sitting in a thistle.
West coast of Portland.
Sun popping through the clouds over the English Channel. Peering through a fire damaged shack near the cliffs.
Highways Act 1980: public footpath no horseriding. Back on the bus.
Happy days.
Scissors and a comb. Works entrance keep clear.
Just before heading to the train station we heard a band playing on the boardwalk.
The late afternoon consisted of brief showers, though in the end it delivered us with a rainbow. Caught the train north to Bath.
