27 February 2013: Bath, England

WEDNESDAY
Across the river one can spot the light brown grass seed has been spread over the soil.
I gandered into one of the office kitchens on campus, it smelled like tea. There are three instant hot water kettles. In an American office kitchen, one is unlikely to find a single instant hot water kettle, just a coffee maker... which is not featured in this English kitchen.

24 February 2013: Bath, England

SUNDAY
The corridor.
Almost a full moon. There is a group of people toward the wall at the back of the parking lot, this is where some of Bath's homeless population hangs out at night.

22 February 2013: Sham Castle

FRIDAY
Cobble repairs outside St. Mary the Virgin Church.
Newly installed steps through the National Trust pathway. The Sham Castle.
In 1762, Ralph Allen, a Bath entrepreneur, had the Sham Castle built in order to "improve the prospect" of his townhouse.
Just beyond the Sham Castle is the Bath Golf Club, established in 1880. A view through the pointed arch of the castle.
A folly.

19 February 2013: Back to School

TUESDAY
Beautiful morning on campus. View from the castle tower, where my Tuesday morning class is being held this semester.
Walking to the bus after class. Sun shining on the limestone buildings in Bath.

18 veebruar 2013: Tallinn to Bath

ESMASPÄEV
Checked out of the hostel. City worker shoveling the new fallen snow.
Students heading into school.
Colorful door. Car wash.
Passed a sculpture of Lennart Mari, a Tallinn-born writer, film director, leader in Estonia's independence movement, and president from 1992-2001, on my way to check-in for my flight.
Before entering the gate to international departures, I went passport control. Stamp: 18.02.13, Tallinn.
Prior to taking off the ground crew sprayed anti-icing fluid on the wings.
Flying west from Tallinn away from the snow. Approaching London-Luton Airport.
Landed at London-Luton Airport and was welcomed by the UK Border Agency.
Caught the bus from the Luton Airport south to London.
Lovely Victoria Coach Station... I am becoming quite familiar with the place.
Departed London and headed west to Bath. The bus stopped at a gas station to refuel.
The bus arrived in Bath. Cones blanketed my street to protected the repaired cobbles.

17 veebrurar 2013: Tallinn, Estonia

PÜHAPÄEV
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Russian orthodox.
Tallinn has no shortage of souvenir shops in order to cater to all the tourists, especially those from cruise ships. Note the cruise ship membership clubs flags hanging from the sign.
