Holy Trinity Church. John Knox, leader of the Protestant Reformation preached in the Holy Trinity Church from November 1559 to April 1560. Knox's sermons favoring reform urged the congregation to destroy ecclesiastical buildings, hence the removal of saints in the niches and the destruction of the town's cathedral.
