2 November 2012: Building of Bath Collection

Building of Bath Collection, another museum open for free during Heritage Week.
Watched a 20 minute video of Bath's architectural history that focused on the Georgian period. 1694 map of Bath.
Examples of ionic, doric, and corinthian capitals found at the head of columns.
Bath is surrounded by hills, this drawing diagrams the leveling undergone during the construction along Lansdown Road.
Describes the process of mining for Bath limestone. Pigments used to create wallpaper, which became a cheaper alternative to wood and plaster design.
