7 décembre 2012: Paris to Sarlat

VENDREDI
I woke up to a thin layer of snow on the ground.
Sand was put on the métro stairs last night, so the trip down to the subway wasn't too bad. A métro worker radioing.
A place to sleep.
A guy putting up a new ad in the métro.
Gare d'Austerlitz. Caught my train on platform 15.
We were stopped in Olréans for over forty minutes due to a weather delay.
Birds sitting on the wire. Doing some reading.
Snow out the window. Arrived at the station in Brive-la-Gaillarde to change trains.
Caught a train to Souillac.
I had just over two hours before catching the bus to Sarlat, so I wandered around Souillac.
La Dordogne River.
Checking out the prices of les sapin (Christmas trees).
The trees in Souillac are a little more reasonable than Paris, these are 13,50 €.
For two euros I catch the bus from Souillac to Sarlat and enjoyed the amazing countryside.
The tranquil countryside of la Dordogne.
Sarlat train station. Where I used to live.
The sidewalk under le pontet received new gravel.
A roundabout has been added next to le pontet (viaduct).
Artificial trees in the window. Box graffiti.
École de la Canéda, one of the primary schools where I taught two years ago.

Saint Nicholas celebration.
