16 January 2013: London

WEDNESDAY
Departing Bath bus station at 5:20am. Arriving London-Victoria Station just after 8:30am.
Surveillance camera pointing in both directions. A portrait etched out of the grim on the wall.
Walking along Parliament Street on my way from the bus station to the hostel.
Approaching Trafalgar Square. The Coliseum.
Arrived at the hostel, a former courthouse. Dropped my bag off, then went to the British Museum.
The Enlightenment Room... much of the collection was King George III's.
Porcelain from the Ming Dynasty. A piece called Cradle to Grave, an artist sewed 14,000 pills (the estimated number prescribed to the average Brit during their lifetime) into mesh.
Hats worn in Niger during masquerade festivals. 20th century crocheted hat from the grasslands of Cameroon (Note: the schoolgirl in the background, there were many groups of students on a field trip to the museum).
Walked into a bookstore and noticed their section on Research Methods. Fancy chimney tops.
The London Eye and Parliament through the trees.
News stand. River Thames.
The moon.
People taking a photo and a street performer. Parliament and Big Ben.
Big Ben.
New American Burger.
People leaving the lecture hall following a talk on Neoliberal Politics at the London School of Economics.
Returned to the hostel.
